It's time for a change! Sterling Heights resident Henry Yanez is running for Congress in Michigan's 10th District. "I want to fight for fair trade, health care, quality education and a clean environment. I will work to make sure that ALL Michigan families have a life of equality, opportunity and dignity."
Henry is the youngest of six children. Henry is the very proud father of two children, his son Ryan and daughter Alison — and is now a proud grandfather.
Macomb Community College. He continued at Oakland Community College, earning his Associates Degrees in Fire Science and General Studies.
Henry became a machine tool electrician and was a member of the UAW and IBEW. Then, in 1995 Henry became a firefighter and paramedic for the City of Sterling Heights where he resides and continues to serve his community today.
In 1985, Henry heard the call to help and became a member of the Troy volunteer fire department. In 1991, he answered the call again and became an emergency medical technician. He is a proud member of the International Association of Firefighters Local 1557. Henry is active in local politics and served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 2004 and 2008. Henry has volunteered for many organizations over the years including youth, senior, social and environmental causes.
