Ken Yonker is a constitutional, conservative Christian family man who has spent a lifetime serving his community. Ken will be the difference we need in Lansing, real leadership, real results.

As a small business owner, Ken has created jobs right here in our community. As a community leader, he has worked to improve government transparency, by focusing on communication and teamwork.

Lansing needs experienced leadership and fresh ideas. Ken will stand up for us, as our State Representative with conservative, West Michigan leadership.

Born and raised here. Generations of his family have lived and worked here. Ken grew up in the farming community of Caledonia.

One of the first in his family to attend college, Ken proudly graduated from Michigan State University College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Institute of Agricultural Technology.

Ken went to work, accepting a management position for one of West Michigan’s largest and most respected construction companies. Five years later, he struck out on his own to form Yonker’s Landscaping, Inc. As a small business owner, Ken earned a reputation in the landscaping business as a true professional and leader in the industry.

He proudly shared his experiences and insight on behalf of his industry and his community by serving in many capacities including on the State Board of Directors, legislative committee, as an advocate for small business, a member of the local Republican Party and most notably as a member of the Caledonia School Board.

In 2002, the voters of Caledonia called on Ken to serve on the board for the gold medal winning, nationally recognized, Caledonia Public Schools. Because of his ability to make the tough decisions, his consensus-building experience and his passion for a strong public school system, the voters re-elected Ken with one of the largest election turnouts in Caledonia Schools.

Ken was elected to the State Legislature in 2010 and went to work for you in Lansing with a bold sense of statesmanship, bringing the voice of his district to our State’s capitol. He was re-elected in 2012.
